Today we reviewed for the final. I gave everyone a review sheet with what to look at and where to find it on the blog. Then, I provided computers for those who wanted to make a study guide and printed it for them.
The review is here >> review-guide-for-final-fall-2016
1st /2nd period finals are tomorrow.

If you have any questions- let me know!
Today, we watched a movie, had a food day, and submitted our papers to turnitin.com . If you need instructions on how to do that, see yesterday’s post!
There is no homework this weekend. Because we have turned in our papers, there will not be a writing portion on the test, but rather just multiple choice, matching, etc.
If you have any questions or concerns, please e-mail me at Holly.Hoover@cobbk12.org.
Today, we did a Breakout session in the Media Center! Wahoo! This was after returning our textbooks.
For those students who would rather work on their papers, I gave them the option.
Then, I took our final journal check and I gave them instructions on how to upload their essays to turnitin.com . Remember it must be submitted there first so that I can check for plagiarism.

Today, we started with journal, inspirational video, and finishing “Night” by: Elie Wiesel.
Then, we worked on our papers. To help guide the students with formatting, I gave them this document >> mla-format-for-research-papers and works-cited-practice ( you only need the 2 articles and book citation).
Remember, you need to have your papers done tomorrow (but I am allowing them to upload them to Turnitin.com by Friday at the end of class) if needed.
“Night” quiz tomorrow (last one)!!
All make-up work must be made up by this Friday. No exceptions.

In class, we finished this introduction graphic organizer >> introduction-planning-sheet.
This introduction was due by the end of class. We will continue to finish the book (about 20 more pages) and work on our paper until Friday.
Night quiz tomorrow – it will be a short quiz.
Today we started with our journal and vocabulary quiz. This will be our last vocabulary quiz of the semester as next week we are working on our final project. The following week, we will have our final exams (15%) of our grade on the 20th (1st and 2nd) and 21st (3rd and 4th).
After, we listened to the second half of “Computer or Human?” podcast. The transcript can be found HERE and HERE. The listening guide is here >>invisibilia-computer-or-human-part-2.
